Women's Team Training Camp Bozeman, MT

The Nevada Women's Team is currently at a month long training camp in Bozeman, MT over Christmas break.



Here is a peek into the daily life of the team:






The day starts bright and early with a daily walk. Here the team poses with Bjorn, the team mascot. He is half-wolf.



Then the team prepares their specialty oatmeal. Sorry Lutz, it is still eaten in the car...



Next, physical therapy exercises are completed. Here Ase recieves help from the team physical therapist (Ase's sister) in completing her exercises.


Here Kristin does core exercises.


Then the team gets changed for training.



The team has been lucky with the weather. Kristin smiles for the camera at Lindley park in downtown Bozeman.

Training at ASC this week





Winter is here!

We have had some great skiing this week, with cold temps and lots of snow:






And now the weather report reads, as below... lot more snow, should be a fun race on Sunday!

Tonight: Snow. Steady temperature around 35. South southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Saturday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 36. South southwest wind between 13 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Saturday Night: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 23. Southwest wind between 9 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible.

Sunday: Snow showers. High near 31. Southwest wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 18. South southwest wind around 9 mph.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36.

Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21.

Tuesday: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39.

Ceol Irish Pub, 3-7pm November 21, 2009


Hello Nevada Ski Team Supporter-

As you have heard, the University of Nevada has cut its NCAA skiing program starting next season. Donner PASS Classic TT 11/11/09

On a cold grey Veteran's day morning, the team was up early to test their form. Kelly proved that he has what it takes, setting a PR despite the slow cold temperature and the constant head wind.  In all it was another great day of training as the team pushed themselves in preparation for our first races now two weeks away!

Ski Team backs the Pack @ Swim meet

Our Nordic Team was supporting the Wolfpack Swimming meeting yesterday at Nevada's victory against Fresno State. We helped out as timers at the different swimming events. Here are some pictures of the event:

freezing temperatures & snowfall in Reno

Get Fired Up Like Elias and Gus...

... because the biggest little city in the world reported snow fall last night!
During the Wednesday morning rollerski interval session, we didn't exceed freezing temperatures. Hopefully the Sierra gets some snow out of this.
